PERSONALITY QUESTIONS
What skills does your character bring to the situation? Vergil is highly intelligent, he was smart enough to make a security program that lead to him making millions of dollars that he uses to fund his rebellion. He can think fast and usually come up with a plan to get himself out of a jam without being seen. He can also blend himself personality wise into being whatever he needs to be to meet his ends. The sympathetic shoulder, the willing friend, even the bitchy neighbor. Whatever he needs to do. He can almost always pull himself up and get what he needs done. He is very good at motivational speeches and getting people to follow him. Though he has never had to do manual labor or anything of the sort, he will be fine doing so once he learns about the world around him. He will be eager to learn and help others to distract himself from the life he just left.
Why did you choose this specific character for 6I, and how do you picture them fitting into the game? At his canon point, Vergil opened a portal to escape from the two people he loved the most, his brother and the girl he was closest to. He felt deeply betrayed and is aching from it. This is where in the DLC hell swallowed him up and made him pure evil, but a place like the game could help him reconnect with his humanity. Remind him how good it feel to help people, and not push everyone away. He has always had a need to be part of something bigger and this game would be perfect to help him reach out to people and learn new things and grow into a better person... opposed to the next king of hell. Choices, ya know?
Examples of this would be, having him learn how to survive off the land from people those from the Tolkien books, such as Aragorn and Elrond, as well as those from Game of Thrones, people from older times with ways of living far beyond that of the spoiled city boy. Or approaching people like Mark Watney offering to help with whatever he can in exchange for learning more about the history of the place they are being held captive or pretty much any information he can gather. The plan is to network and learn.
How do you imagine your character will survive in 6I, and in what ways will they contribute to the settlement, if any? Vergil will survive as he has survived everything else in his life, he will adapt and change to what ever he needs to do to survive. Though up arrival he will be useless as any other spoiled rich boy. He will need to make friends to learn how to survive. This isn't demons vs humans, this is man vs nature, and he's lived a lavish life never wanting for anythingbesides his brother's love. Opps. So, as he learns he will be more and more useful. Once he starts to learn he can start to help out more, he is strong and smart and even if he is not educated in this kind of survival he will finds ways to be useful.
How will your character react to...Being separated, possibly permanently, from loved ones and their previous life, including loss of powers, if applicable? Vergil will not take this well at all. This will be the hardest obstacle to over come for him. He is a Nephilim. The son of a demon traitor, and an angel. He has always been special, he can travel between dimensions and shoot flying swords from his body, take hits and get up. He was pretty much immortal and now, he will be human, or humanish... It's going to be a bitter pill to swallow for one who fancied himself to be the next leader of the humans. AS for losing those he loves... well that one he was going to have to face anyway. He will be hurt for awhile but slowly the wounds will heal. In short, he will have to learn to change a lot about his life and to not look for Dante and Kat in people, but he will also be expecting people to betray him for awhile.
Their environment being manipulated, possibly in strange or extraordinary ways, and possibly in ways which restrain them? Vergil's first and foremost assumption will be demons. Clearly, demons have everyone held in some hellscape, and he will be very up in arms about it, very loud. He will probably look as crazy as a guy in a tin foil hat but, he will be firm in it. It's Demons. It HAS to be demons. Only demons control like that. Only demons would trap such a group of people away. Look, he's gonna be the 'alien's' guy from Ancient Alien's here...
Given the way that the environment can be, it will keep him on edge, as mentioned. Not fully able to relax when things can change so fast. Growing up in a world where demons could attack at any given moment, he is already well versed in an more than healthy level of paranoia. This added in with the environment would make him not only uneasy but also watching out for those around him. While he is of dubious morals at time, at heart he is a good person wanting the best for people. While he can deal with being ready to fight at a moments notice he would want other people to feel more safe.
Being physically and/or mentally manipulated, such as having hallucinations or suddenly possessing special abilities they did not have before? It will keep Vergil on edge and utterly unpleased with the whole situation. He will be on guard waiting for the other shoe to drop. If the world is making him hallucinations and have different powers, but again in his world, demons were using soda to make people see and experience things not there. So he wont trust it, and still scream demons at the sky.
